Quabaug Corporation has been manufacturing rubber products in rural North Brookfield, Massachusetts, since 1916. Throughout our history we have made a variety of rubber goods: from hockey pucks and baby carriage tires, to floor tiles and stair treads. In the late 1940s, Quabaug began concentrating on shoe sole production and, by 1963, soling became our exclusive focus.
In 1965, Quabaug teamed up with Vibram®, the legendary Italian shoe sole manufacturer. We’ve been producing Vibram soles in the U.S. ever since. Quabaug’s Vibram soles are used in some of the most demanding and rugged environments. From wild land firefighters in Arizona to combat units in the Afghan mountains, Vibram soles are trusted to deliver performance when it matters most.
Quabaug is proud to be the largest supplier of outsoles to the U.S. military and to be manufacturing in the United States. From our humble beginnings as a small shop with a work force of 23, we have grown to over 300 team members today. At the heart of Quabaug is a culture of continuous improvement and unflinching dedication to quality. It’s the secret of our success and is central to all we do.
